The Cloth Nappy Shop started out in 2005 as a WAHM* business under the name Pookey Pockets

I used traditional cloth nappies in varying degrees with my older children, so was excited to discover modern cloth nappies when I was pregnant with my 4th baby. Here was a much more convenient alternative to the flat nappies I had used before!

In search of the 'perfect' fast-drying nappy, I started making my own nappies both for my 3rd child and in preparation for #4. This then grew and evolved, and became Pookey Pockets.

The Pookey Pockets range of cloth nappies has been uniquely designed for those who love the idea of fitted nappies, but aren't keen on the time they take to dry. Made from a variety of fabrics, they are cute, fun and practical! I hope you like them as much as I do!

In August 2007 we were very proud and excited to announce the opening of the Pookey Pockets Shop - the first real-life dedicated cloth nappy shop here in Brisbane. Renamed the Cloth Nappy Shop in January 2009, the store stocks many different brands of nappies and accessories, plus all the fabrics, notions and bits and pieces you need to sew your own nappies.

Don't want to spend the money on your own snap press?? No worries, we offer a snap service for new nappies and repairs for any broken snaps you may have.
